Originally from Cape Breton, Connor received his undergraduate degree from Cape Breton University in 2017. He received his law degree from Dalhousie University in 2020, and also completed a semester abroad at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. 

Connor has been an active member in the hockey community for most of his life. After completing his playing career with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and Yarmouth Mariners, he has continued his involvement through coaching at various levels.
