Nicole’s practice focuses primarily on family law. She represents clients in all matters related to divorce, separation, parenting arrangements, support, and division of assets, as well as adoptions and child protection matters.
Nicole sees her clients through negotiations and litigation in emotionally trying times with compassion and a practical approach to resolving their legal issues. Nicole encourages her clients to engage in alternative dispute resolution whenever possible and is a certified mediator and collaborative family lawyer.
However, Nicole regularly appears in the Supreme Court Family Division and relies on her experience when litigation is necessary.
Nicole is originally from Cape Breton and has called Halifax home for over a decade. Nicole earned her LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick in 2011 and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2012. She is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association and is a member of the executive of the Association of Collaborative Professionals of Nova Scotia.
In her spare time, Nicole enjoys teaching and practicing yoga, traveling, exploring, and spending time with her family and friends and her dog, Charlie.
